My sister, Gail just had her first grandchild. My niece, Amanda, just had an 8# 1 oz. baby girl, Lily Amanda White. My 18 year old son was determined not to handle her, stating, “I don’t like children.” My 15 year old was much more paternal. Thank goodness! Congratulations to Amanda, who turns 29 today!
Here is a new breakfast dish now that oranges are in season. What a great way to get your protein, fruit, calcium and good grains in one smart meal.
Cathy’s Favorite Breakfast
1 Orange, peeled and cut into bite size pieces
1/3 cup All Bran Bran Buds ( made by Kelloggs) (I don’t like the Original Bran Stix)
Handful of Walnuts
1 container of Vanilla Yogurt ( I actually prefer Dannon 1/2 container vanilla and 1/2 container of plain – it’s not as sweet)
Mix it all together and it’s ready to eat. I think it’s pretty healthy and very tasty. Please comment and let others know your favorite healthy breakfast— or not. We all have different morning routines. I hope you’ll share yours.
